From April 26th to May 7th, the University of Rwanda called to gather part of its academic staff in order to effectively implement the new MSc in Food Safety and Quality Management. More specifically, the teaching staff members worked on need assessment, to finalize course structure and to work on module book of MSc in Food Safety and Quality Management.

The workshop activities were made possible thanks to the grant allocated by the EnRHEd Project for the enanchement of Rwandan higher education in strategic fields for sustainable growth. The implementation of this new Master at UR-CAVM is one of the objective of the EnRHEd Project (WP2) that has been co-funded by the European Commission.

The workshop brought together members of the UR academic staff, in particular those of the College of Agriculture, Animal science and Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), as well as some stakeholders of food processing industries for a total amount of 40 people.

A real success to which, hopefully, more will follow. We continue to work and we will inform you soon about the organization of new workshops in other partner universities (UTAB, IPRC, INES).
