We quote below the message written by the RFH team that has just returned to Germany after spending a week of work in Rwanda within the EnRHEd project.

RFH team stayed in Rwanda just one week but it was such an intense experience that it felt like a much longer…really a beautiful time. As a RFH team, we realized all the program that we had planned and certainly more: workshops and lectures in different universities, visits to Rwandan companies and European institutions, but also moments of discovery of this fantastic country.

This mission of the Rheinische Fachhochschule Köln as part of the EnRHEd project was specifically dedicated to students: RFH students who have been in Africa for the first time and students from Rwandan HEIs that we have met during the mission. Each of them lived up to expectations: students from RFH and from UR, INES-Ruhengeri, IPRC-Musanze and UTAB prepared and presented their projects in a very professional manner… They discussed and worked in groups under the expert guidance African colleagues. The result of this intense week of work is tangible: a project is taking shape on the digitization of the food supply chain in Rwanda, divided into several complementary work packages. We are just at the beginning, but the participants enthusiasm and skills make us hope for a successful implementation of the whole project.

We have seen many beautiful things, fantastic landscapes and exotic animals, but surely the most beautiful images, those that remain, are those of young people from distant nations and cultures working hard and seriously together, without forget to have a time to have fun and to dance and sing togheter some different music.
