UNIPR students to visit Rwanda for a month
A few days ago, a delegation of students reached out to the Rwandan HEIs that are partners in the EnRHEd project in order to carry out teaching activities in a “Capacity Building” perspective, i.e., through discussion and exchange with their fellow Rwandan students in the field of Food Science and Technology. This teaching approach, which has just started, is expected to continue for about one month, once the Italian students will return to Europe to resume their on-site academic activities.
Even in these first days, however, we can already outline the first objectives achieved thanks to the use of this “Capacity Building” approach: the Italian students, in the role of teachers, have been able to improve their lecturing skills by giving real face-to-face classes to the Rwandan students, while the Rwandan students have taken part in interactive sessions dealing with their “peers” by being able to discuss and inquire with them without hesitation.
The result is already evident from the very appreciative feedback from rwandan students who have asked for enhance student exchanges in the future.
