A new mobility in the framework of the EnRHEd Erasmus+ Project is surrently in progress in Rwanda (the lasts two weeks of January). Two researchers from ULiège, Prof. R. Billen and Dr. C. Dubois, are visiting the 4 EnRHEd partner Institutions with the objective to held some courses and seminars in order to exchange with colleagues and students on some scientific and technical contents about ‘Geomatics’.

The focus is put on capturing the Rwandan colleagues and students’ realities in order to provide the most useful collaborations at the time being but also in the future. Notably, identifying the best articulation between necessary theoretical concepts and up-to-date operational techniques.

The first week was shared between INES (Ruhengeri), IPRC (Musanze) and UR (Kigali) on the topics of Observation Theory and Digital Twin in Geomatics. The second week will focus on UTAB (Byumba) on Agritourism and Tourism Development Strategies, thanks to the project of shared course in Rural Geography.

The mission of the two ULIEGE researchers is part of a broader mobility that is taking place in Rwanda in recent weeks and which involves not only Belgian researchers but also UNIPR students and lecturers (click here for more info).
